can’t wait for fall

I think the boots and sweaters are ready to come out. That’s why I love living somewhere that there a mix of seasons! Don’t get me wrong, southern cali was beautiful weather just not a ‘beautiful’ place. Every where I look, in Portland, I see beautiful green bushes and trees. The warm colors of fall are definitely calling me, although I hope I make it through my official ‘rainy season’ for about 9 months following.

I wish it could just be you and me (sometimes).

My dream cake

My dream cake

I just wish i could spend my time traveling instead of working, studying, etc. I have so many places i’d love to explore: i’ve never been to the east coast! (and i don’t count being in 5th grade and going to FL for a cheer competition, awful) I’d love to see the actual coast and see the difference between both coasts. I feel like i need to see NY too, just to say i’ve been and explore another big city. I’d love to get back into CO too. Jesse and I loved our time all over CO on our ‘big adventure around the western states’. Not only do we have great friends all over the state, but i love the scenery too. I also just want to relax at a resort in a carribean area (i mean who doesn’t!) or mexico and do nothing but feel the sand between my toes & sip a fancy beverage. I don’t give myself enough time off from my normal life, in portland. My goal is to be on vacation 2 weeks out of every year and REALLY go on vacation to another place, instead of watching the Hills reruns on my couch :]

Its the end of my weekend and the start of Jesse’s trip to St. Louis. Although i absolutely miss him, and will continue to do so, i am looking forward to enjoying time with my friends and staying busy with my work. Tonight i am spending time with my good friend, Elyse, and practicing my craft while enjoying thai take out. My busy week/weekend consists of Beer festivals, dancing, movie nights, and HH in my few unoccupied hours. I’m a busy bee. I couldn’t ask for better friends to keep me occupied and be here for me every day since i’ve moved here. I’m so lucky Portland has been so welcoming to a partial mid-west native who’s really lived more places than most. These summer days are comforting and i look forward to the next few months :]

Move Number Two

Moving for the second time in a month is a PAIN… but I will say how much I looooove our new place! Unfortunately we won’t be having any guests over in the near future because we are still putting everything together (and still no couch!) Jesse and I agree, no more moving for a long long time.
